This is a blog filled with small biographies of people, or events that we don't know enough about or don't know about at all.

For years I’ve kept notebooks filled with people, places and things that I've wanted to learn about. I research them as much as possible and then write up a short summery so that I don't forget. For the most part I’ve lost all of them but there are a couple knocking around and from now on I'm going to type everything up. 

 

I really believe we should all learn more about our history and the history of people around us. But that’s a lot easier said than done, it takes me hours to find the interesting and useful stuff, I’m mostly on google dictionary trying to work out what some stuff even means and I seem to spend a silly amount of time checking different sites and books until I find ones that say the same thing. I'm also not a historian so I have to spend a lot of time looking at different timelines or learning about the history of different cultures so that I can understand whats going on! Despite all of that it’s worth it when I’ve (finally) leant about the person or event that I was looking for. But I realise that's not the case for everyone, lots of us want to learn about our history but don't have the time or resources to do it. 

So, I’ve typed up some of my notes and I’m putting them online, I'm making sure I only put in an A4's worth of writing in so that you don't have to spend ages reading. Hopefully a couple people can read them and learn about the people who shaped our lives.

I would also like to make a disclaimer that I'm dyslexic, like have to wear special glasses dyslexic. I'm checking what I wright as much as possible but I know its not going to be perfect. Hopefully it doesn't effect the information too much, I reckon just because I'm not great and writing doesn't mean I shouldn't try.
